V6 to 360

Interesting couple of days !!!

My recent billing from Virgin noted a very large increase in costs!!!!  So contacted them to ask why and was offered a slightly better package which I signed up to which even though there was a reduction I felt was not enough as it included hefty increases over the remainder of year and the following year/years.

So having initially agreed I then had an overnight change of heart & realised they were not taking into account that earlier this year my V6 box wasn't working efficiently which meant visits from quite a few technicians bearing several new V6 boxes none of which worked and nobody could figure out why.

This meant that I was forced to have a 360 upgrade box.

Today I tackled a help team member and explained that it wasn't my choice to upgrade rather it was forced on me.  Wonderful lady by the name of Zilda 'not sure of the spelling'  has scrapped yesterdays new contract and I now have a much reduced package which is less than initially I have been paying for some months that now takes into account the forced upgrade.

Patience is a virtue and have to say Virgin have come up trumps.

You posted about 6months or so ago, reporting problems with your TV360 at the time (here) so I'm not sure where the V6 conversion comes into this.

Any negotiation for a new contract bundle is separate from any discussion around TiVo/V6 > TV360 migration, although often done at the same time. The only time that a migration is compulsory, is where a new bundle includes either Paramount+ or Disney+ subscriptions - because those aren't available on a V6
