If you have lost the coax cable then you can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.
When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and hopefully you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.
It might need an engineer visit but they do have made up lengths. Was it one of the newer cables that has a splitter or just a single cable, also some people have a short adapter at the end of the coax to box connector.
It was just a white 2m cable with no splitter or adapter.

The quickest way would be to give Virgin a call to get the correct cable, Virgin uses their own special cable.

We're sorry to hear you've misplaced the coaxial cable needed to connect your services up. This is something we can help with but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security and ensuring we're ordering the cable on the correct account.
I've sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you're using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you're on a mobile/tablet device then instead, click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
Many thanks,
