It can if you can get them to cancel before it 'upgrades' automatically. At which point there's no way back.
Ring them is best in this situation.

Not sure what's happened to your other post I replied to, maybe it's slowly being combined with this one.
If you have already received the 360 remote it's probably too late to cancel.
You need to give Virgin a call ASAP to stand any chance of cancelling.
