360 audio surround problem

Since installing 360 my Sony BluRay 5.1 surround sound goes into mute mode . If I unmute the sound via the remote , after 15 seconds it goes into mute again and remains there . The surround works fin...

You connect the 360 to the Sony (the port might be labeled CBL/SAT) and the Sony to the TV's HDMI 1.
