TV 360 Upgrade

I've just had an offer to upgrade but not I'm not interested, mainly because I'm blissfully happy with my current box and I don't fancy losing my precious recordings.

Anyone know if this will be compulsory at some stage; I'd like to know as my contract is up soon?

Migration to V360 is currently voluntary, unless your contract contains services not provided on the TiVO platform (Disney+, Paramount+ etc). If you have one of the older TiVO 500 boxes it can be replaced with a TiVO V6. But whether you like it or not, Virgin recordings are allowed for time shifting purposes only, so when the box fails it’s bye bye recordings whatever you choose to do next.

I've just learned that my box is a V6 so apologies for posting in the wrong forum.  I've had a box fail before and lost recordings so I know the pain.  Hopefully the V6 will live a long life.

And to add to the previous response, you've posted in the TiVo section of the forum so if that's the box you currently have... you would do very well to swap to a V6 which is a clear upgrade path. More recording tuners, more streaming apps, and a much quicker box overall.

The TV360 as mentioned, is a completely different TV platform.

Yikes! Thanks for the link - I now know it's a V6 that I have.  Long live the V6!
