Tennis questions

I have Sky Sports in my TV package.
I recorded the tennis last night to watch Raducanu's match today only to find it hadn't been broadcast. So today I've logged in to Sky Sports web site using my virgin media login hoping to find it there to watch on demand like you used to be able to do with Prime.

And  there it is. I minute 56 seconds! I think there's more than that on youtube

Am I looking in the wrong place or are Sky really that bad?

Which Sky Sports channel did you record last night? I can't see any tennis on the backwards EPG. Which tournament are you expecting to watch?

I see the tennis tournament at Brisbane on Sky Sports Mix last few nights in the EPG.  I've no idea why it didn't record for the OP though.

Ah yes, good spot. In which case the "Recording Hiccups" folder is the place for the OP my-generation to check.

It did record as planned. However there is no facility that I can find to choose a court to watch. No red button like on the BBC. There are two channels on tivo to choose from. I think there is main event and mix. So if British players aren't playing on those channels you've had it.
Prime used to offer this together with a catch up system rather like the beeb does with Wimbledon which was handy when the action goes out during the night..
It could be that Sky offer this on their "direct" package and the Virgin Sky package is sort of Sky Lite?

Can you play it from catch up or the EPG?

I can (on TV 360, Sky Sports Mix).

There was a fault a while back, that I complained about, whereby Sky Sports Mix catchup content wasn't available to those without a package including all the sports channels, even if we had Sky Sports Mix - thankfully that now seems to be fixed.

Appreciate TV360 has a different menu structure to TiVo/V6, but how did you find this sport VoD content?

I have no VoD for the tennis, and no VoD for any sport broadcast live from what I can see. Just a few sports films.

I have to watch by recording the matches which is OK but it means you are stuck with whatever Virgin put out - usually one or two streams with no choice of match

Sky Cinema subscribers won't get access to Sky Sports Tennis, I don't see any reason why Sky Sports subscribers shouldn't.

As a Sky Sports UHD subscriber I have access to all Sky Sports HD and Sky Sports UHD channels, so I'm expecting to be able to watch Sky Sports Tennis HD (I won't get Sky Sports Tennis SD as I have a 360).
