Virgin tv go

I’m having trouble with registering device. It’s only one device but keeps asking me to register the same device and then I run out of changes available.

  • Good evening JohnL2
    Thanks for coming back to the thread. To fix the device registration issue, you'll being doing either of the below;
    Clearing your device's cache and cookies (leave the VM ones)
    Avoid using incognito or private browsing modes

  • Hello johnL2

    Sorry to hear of the device registering issues experienced, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this with us via the forums and welcome to the community.

    Can you confirm the device you're having the problem registering? Has this device worked previously?

    We have help here specifically for registering for TV Go.

  • Hi . I have the same problem. Every time I log on to Virgin TV Go I am required to re-register the laptop I am using. Eventually I run out of registration slots and have to wait until next month! I also use Sky Sports and SkyGo to access content such as TNT Sports. However, I do not have this registering problem with Sky. It is unreasonable to expect users to not clear cookies related to Virgin in order to avoid the problem. Besides, a number of users have indicated that is not really a practical solution. I am paying for the Virgin Media subscription and it is disappointing that I am offered a half baked solution for a problem that has been ongoing for a number of years. I would suggest changing the approach as to how the services of Virgin TV Go are programmed to provide an easier, more user friendly interface by doing away witht the requirement to register devices. If I am payinng why do I need to register devices? Perhaps Virgin can limit the number of simultaneous connections, say 5 simultaneous connection, instead of requiring re-registration of devices. I am truly disappointed that VIrgin do not seem to have a real handle on the problem from a programming point of view. Very sad.

      Sky Go isn't available to VM customers.

      VM limit the number of simultaneous connections to two.

      Info below from https://www.virginmedia.com/help/tv/how-to-use-virgin-tv-go-app

      How many devices can I register?

      All Virgin TV customers can register up to five devices on the Virgin TV Go app and view on two devices simultaneously, at no extra cost. You can also do three device swaps a month.
