Can't get into TV GO app

Hi,

So this morning, I have tried to sign into the Virgin TV Go app, which is normally very simply and VERY stress free. Well not today, it's like trying to get into Fort Knox.  I've been asked to add a back up email address and I used my google email address......which come 6th August I'm not going to have access to.  So then I request a passcode is texted to my phone.......Nothing, so I select Send code again and just as I was doing that, I presume the first code that was supposed to come through, came through, so I enter that into the boxes and it doesn't accept it.  I've since requested a code to be resent to my mobile several times and still have had nothing at all.  Firstly, not everyone has a secondary email address, which as I stated at the beginning, come 6th August I won't and I don't intend on creating another email address as I have only ever used my ntlworld email address for the last 24 years and don't intend on using any other one and secondly, why is it no so difficult to get into Virgin TV Go, to simply watch some TV.  Was such a smooth process on Friday when I was using it

  • Exactly the same problem looks like they have tried to set up two factor authentication and broken it . I have the same issue offered a code via text not received it try again and get locked out for 30 mins

  • Well Morte, glad it's not just me then 🤦🏻‍♀️.  I guess we wait here for a fix. Seems to be a Monday thing, as we're having tech issues in work too 🤣🤣, totally not related to this however 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Me as well. Go to sign in, asks to verify my email and it's a success, go to sign in and again, asks to verify my email. Just going round in circles. Absolute joke from virgin but then again, i'm not surprised.

  • And now, like a lot of other people, I have no access to my emails as can't validate credentials.  But that's a matter for another forum......just wondering if they've been hacked 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hello to all users being impacted by issues signing into TV Go.

Our fixed and mobile networks are operating as usual today, however we’re aware that a small number of customers are experiencing issues accessing some apps. Our technical teams are working to restore services as soon as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

This is still not working after 4 days. Leaves you in a sign-on doom loop

  • No I think they have tried to beef up security after M & S s problems. of course being Virgin they have the issue they could not organise ba particularly good party at a brewery .I doubt we will see a reply to this just it will magically work some time in the future. Either that or it will be our fault and we will have to delete the app and start again

  • It would be nice if like any other company with paying customers some body from Virgin would comment and give an ETA for a fix

Similarly, was trying to watch the last session of the last day of the test match and we get this new signin backup e-mail come back later nonsense. Fortunately the memsahib was in merciful mood and I was allowed the house telly. Subsequently had to fiddle about 'linking' VM and O2 accounts on 3 devices but seems okay now.

  • I'm having same issues now. Can't sign in and even changing my password doesn't work

      Hi firsedge,

      Thanks for coming back here.

I've just replied to your other post here: TV Go unable to sign in

Please make sure you are only posting once about your issue. If you need to update the thread then just reply to your original thread rather than creating a new one. We understand it's frustrating when something's not right however posting more than once about the same fault makes the boards look busier than what they actually are. It also means we could take longer to reply due to needing to sift through duplicate posts.

Have a look at my reply on the other thread and stick with that one so we keep all the information in one place.

      Many thanks,

Then try fixing the issue and give details of fix and instructions
