want to cancel contract due to house move but can't contact anybody!

OMG I am going in circles. I want to advise VM to cancel my contract for all services as I am moving house. The so-called help page for that is no good, just takes me to a link to transfer the package, which I don't want to do. Account page ends up in same place. The Chat button doesn't work and in fact never has for me.  Tried phoning 150 and sent in circles again and never got to speak to anyone. I can't give 30 days notice as I've only just agreed a move date, and the T&Cs seem to apply to an existing contract anyway, and my account page states my contract as expired. Someone from VM please contact me, I'm going nuts here!

VM contracts don’t expire, they just change to 30 day rolling. If you are passed the initial 18 month period, you just have to give 30 days notice.  You can cancel in writing using recorded, signed for letter

  • Thanks for reaching out to us SoAnnoyed, and we're sorry to hear of the issues experienced when trying to arrange a cancellation of our services with the pending house move.

We would need to advise you call our team on 0345 454 1111 or 150 from a Virgin Media landline phone and select options 4, followed by 3.

Whilst we can appreciate that a 30 day notice period may not be possible, our team will be able to confirm an agreeable cancellation date with you, but would be required to take your new address to ensure we can arrange a returning of the equipment and ensure any refund or final bill can be issued.

Our team would likely discuss the prospect of you taking the Virgin Media services with you to have installed at your new address, as well as advise of any early disconnection fees that may be due.

    Thanks,
