Slap in the face to existing loyal customers
My bill has recently doubled (fair enough, i knew the offer period and had an email about renewal quotes however personal life has been manic with family emergencies).
I had a webchat with VM who refused to offer anything to suit the package i wanted (Bigger package and broadband, maybe adding sports if price was right) and insisted instead to only offer prices for the full everything package, continuously ignored my clearly stated needs (no land line) and generally not good.
The offers were NOWHERE NEAR what they are offering new customers and when i pointed this out i was told they wanted to attract new customers to try and experience their products blah blah. I can accept this to a point and pay slightly more, but the difference was ridiculous, and insulting. I have moved back and forth between Sky and VM several times over the years as one offers better prices than the other and found whilst their are pros and cons for both, they both broadly offer the same service and everything i need, and i don't care who my supplier is when i'm using the internet or watching telly.
I am now looking to cancel and move to NOW or maybe Sky to significantly reduce costs as like everyone else, the cost of living is biting with everything going up except wages.
I have been told i can use the one switch (or whatever its called) service - has anyone used this and can you confirm it is as easy as they say (also that it means not having to give 30 days notice as contract expires when new supplier starts, much like a PAC phone change).
Also, if anyone has recommendations on suppliers between Sky, NOW and anyone else who can provide the basic channels plus Sky witness etc (entertainment pack?) I need a fairly good broadband as my wife WFH however dont need landline and can live without sports.
Thanks in advance for any help.
