Previous Provider not Contacted

BT were not contacted to cease their provision of broadband when I switched to Virgin earlier this year. BT continued to bill me full rate and will not refund as they are stating that it is a Virgin error.

What can i do to resolve this?

  • I also had to have my line activated as it wasn't set up once i did receive my router. I have dates if you need them

  • Hi Martin, I believe I did yes. There was confusion as my original modem was lost and never delivered. When i queried to get another one, my original request had been closed and they had to re-open a new one. It appears that a cease request was not sent for the new set-up.

When you say your request was closed, and a new one was opened. Was this a new account created for you? Did you speak with someone regarding your package deal and get a new contract through after speaking with them?

after my first router failed to be delivered i used the help chat to order another router. That's when i was informed that my original application had been cancelled due to the modem not being activated, but it couldn't be activated as i didn't have it

  • Hi Mark1410,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

When you switched to us did you use the One Touch Switch service?
