out of contract, but not.

When i brought virgin with me moving home 12 months ago it was an 18 month contract. my account is now saying im out of contract and to renew. so would i be free to leave to leave for a new supplier without them saying its 18 months. the live chat bot doesnt understand so cant get an answer and there no other way to communicate with anyone.

    Welcome to the Community Forums. 

    Sorry to hear of your concerns with your contract. When you move, you have one of two options. If you're not in contract, you can close the account and open a new account with a new deal at the new address. Or you can transfer your services/package/contract to your new address. This means you keep the contract ongoing from the old account to the new account. 

     

    Did you keep your equipment and services when you moved, or did you have to return the equipment to us from your old address when you took out the new deal?
