Disgusted OAP rip off
My 85 year old dad died at the beginning of the month. His account should now have been stopped by the executor of his will and what I assume is his last bill has just arrived at his flat. £163 per month for tv (£24) and broadband. He lived in a studio flat in sheltered accommodation. In his own words, he only used the internet to check weather on a tablet. I am sure once upon a time he had a better deal but never in his life did he need a broadband speed other than the most basic, neither did he ever watch Netflix or any of the other TV add one he was clearly over-sold. And, as a Luddite I know he would not have realised he could change his package. I hope you’re happy with yourselves for taking advantage of an old man.
You are absolutely right Katy. The situation is shameful. The price ratcheting racket that VM chooses to operate and the need to haggle every 18 months seems designed to penalise the older and more vulnerable.
