Changing from stream to 360 box.

I've had stream for a week as a brand new customer. My partner really can't stand it with the adverts and the lack of recording planner as we've had sky for years. Is it possible to change to the recording box as we've still in our 14 days cancel period ?

    Hi philhughes1984,

I'm afraid the forum team are unable to make account changes/regrades such as the one you require.

Have a chat with the sales team by calling them on 0800 183 1234**  They should be able to cancel the Stream package and switch you to a contract that includes the TV360 box providing you aren't in a full fibre  area.

The Stream (Flex) box became the default TV choice for all of VM's new customers around 6/7 months ago.

When you used the online postcode checker to confirm if VM could provide a broadband service at your installation address https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/postcode-checker  did it offer you a 2 Gig connection amongst the various broadband options?

If so then you are in one of the current expansion areas which only supplies a full fibre connection for new customers. In those areas then only IPTV is available via a Stream box.

VM's recordable TV set top boxes (TV360) only work on the older DOCSIS cable network which uses coaxial copper cables which carry both the linear broadcast TV channels & the DOCSIS internet.

**An additional point to note is that the TV360 box (if available) carries a £49.99 activation fee, and can only be ordered by contacting the sales team on 0800 183 1234.  Any additional boxes would be the non recordable Stream boxes.
