cannot link Virgin Media and O2 accounts

When I try to link my Virgin Media account to O2 it fails for some reason. Spent ages on the phone being passed from Virgin customer service to O2 but still not resolved. Thanks to this I can no longer access my O2 account details either on line or via the O2 app.  Any help appreciated

    Are you getting any specific error message?

      No can get my email and password verified OK but the last page asking for date of birth and post code are not  accepted. I get the message cannot recognise details! I have changed via O2 my O2 email to match my Virgin email because it would not recognise my Networld email address.  Currently I cannot acess my O2 app or O2 on line because it wants to link my accounts
