Cancelling Virgin Media

Be very careful if you wish to cancel your Virgin Media contract. I did so by phone and, surprisingly they have no record of it and want to charge me for the remainder of a 16 month contract. As I was unable to find any online facility as to how to do this, I though speaking to someone was the best idea. Big mistake. I've spent 5 hrs today in trying to resolve this today!

  • Update. I've spoken to someone called Jullian who is an absolute star and has reaffirmed my faith in customer services.

A cancellation letter by recorded delivery is the absolute route. If you also put a DSAR request in for call, that should also wield evidence.

Bit ironic as in a digital age with an internet media company company that the only reliable way of communication is by sending a letter! 🥴😂
