Can I ??

I have recently been told that my contract will be ending shortly and to continue with VM I must pay £66 p.c.m. which is not going to happen bearing in mind that I only have Broadband, no other services.  I wish to close my account at termination time and start afresh as a new customer. Can this be done??

No.  You would need someone else in your Household to sign up for 24 months as a new user.  VM Contracts do not end, they just change to 30 day rolling after the initial 18/24 month period.

  • Hi THEREALMJD,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

You wouldn't be able to cancel and re-join as a new customer but you can speak with our team via 150/0345 454 1111 who can see what renewal deals are available for you.

Many thanks, I'll give the phone call a go but I hope I will be speaking to someone who isn't reading off a crib sheet and isn't flexible with the truth.

What ever the result I am not paying £66. M

Thanks for coming back to us THEREALMJD.

Do please let us know how the renewal goes and if you choose to indeed stay with Virgin Media, or if you take the option to cancel the services as the alternative.

        Thanks,
