Adding email account to phone

I have been trying to add my ntlworld.com email account to my Samsung A71 phone. i have followed the instructions on the phone, used the IMAP/SMTP options & checked the settings are correct but I am struggling with the correct password asked for the email. Should the password be the 4 word one generated by the Virgin change password option? I am still receiving emails to this account on my laptop & tablet but just cannot add it to my phone at the moment. Am i doing something wrong?

    DCH19501. Yes you will need to use the four word generated app password on your phone app.  The username is your full Ntlworld email address not the third party username for the account. (The third party username is only required for the My Virgin Media account and for VM webmail)

    When you are setting up an email program on a new device, you use your NTLworld email address and the app password generated from 'My Virgin Media' (below)
