Old inactive account hacked

My virgin media email account was disabled before 2015 and I left my new ‘current’ email address on there for certain emails to be forwarded to my newer outlook account. 

Yesterday I got my first email in years forwarded from the virgin media email stating that my old instagram account passwords had been changed. Then two more of my blog accounts were hacked all through my virgin media email address. I’m certain one of the accounts weren’t linked to the virgin email but it stated that it was in the email. 

 

I really need this account completely deactivating as I’ve been told that the email keeps running even tho the account is deactivated! I can’t physically sign in and haven’t been able to for years. Please someone help I have no idea what else is on that email account
