After a bit of faffing about, I found this:
Again the About Outlook isn't a subsection of the Help menu (like it is with everything else):
You have Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.1204.300 (Production).
Client Version is 20241115003.42.
WebView2 Version is 131.0.2903.99.
How I got there:
View Settings>General>About Outlook
There's no File tab, so therefore I must be using the New version. However, there was/is no NEW displayed in the shortcut itself. WebView2 is now another attack vector straight into your inbox if malicious code can be inserted into it in some way.

I think I may have broken it somehow by forcibly removing it. Outlook originally foisted itself upon me without asking first. I promptly uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller (the free version) hoping that Windows Mail would still work. It (Windows Mail) promptly disappeared, getting replaced with Outlook. however upon searching around the Program Files folder there are still traces of it left; the email client is gone, but the old Windows Address Book bits are still there. WebView2 is a downloadable SDK so I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to create fake stuff with it, reminding me of the olden days of the internet. I'm using Windows Home too, so that could be a thing.
