I have been on the electoral register e.t.c I have a letter from my GP e.t.c I am the one making the application! I need a ‘UTILITY bill’ that proves I have been residing at the address for the time I have stated. And I have been a customer with Virgin Media for that time and Virgin Media is a ‘Utility bill’. And I am still your customer from 2006- date. As I cannot have access to old bills, I just need a letter that confirms that the said person at the said address have been your customer for that said period . 2006- date. And that is me! At the same address . Paying the bills from 2006- date. Your customer since. 2006 Thank you. Re: Re: Accessing bills more than 12m old? Hi, thank you for your reply. I am not in any dispute neither do I have any court case. I am making an application and I need documentary evidence to prove address for the last 18 years ( in addition to other documentary evidence I already have). Am I a virgin media customer? Yes. I have been a Virgin media customer since 2006 till date. Have I been at the same address? Yes. I have been at the same address from 2006 till date? Am I the named customer on the bill? Yes. I am the only named customer on the bill from 2006 till date. Can I have access to my old bills older than 24 months? No- access denied. ( if I knew I would need this document, I would have been downloading and saving all these years- I was naive and stupid!) After speaking with my legal adviser, the advice was that a letter confirming I am a customer will suffice in the absence of the bills. Can I get a letter ( from customer service or something) confirming I am the named customer at the mentioned address and been customer since 2006? Is access also denied????? That is all I want for Christmas, Virgin Media. Thank you. Re: Re: Accessing bills more than 12m old? Thanks for your reply. I shall work something out with my legal representative. I am surprised that I cannot have access to older bills. I have other service providers where I have had access to all old bills ( 2016 - date) just from the portal and without needing to contact anybody. I am surprised having access to my old bills has become such a complicated issue. Making life difficult for people one day at a time! I have just called to request a letter instead. I have been informs I also need a solicitor to get a letter from my service provider that I am a customer for 18 years? Wow! I’m feeling very frustrated by this. Thanks for your reply. Re: Re: Accessing bills more than 12m old? Thanks for your reply. I was needing 2006-2016 - even if it is just temporary access to the digital bills. Just so I can download and send off with my application. However after speaking with my solicitor, he advised that an official letter from Virgin Media confirming me as a current customer and stating the dates from when I have been a customer, will suffice. The advisor I spoke to did offer that option. Shall I ring customer service again? Or can you take that up from this forum? Thanks. Eloho Re: Accessing bills more than 12m old? Hi, I am in the same boat needing to access really old bills ( been a customer for 18 years). I need it as evidence for a delicate home office application. I have called an advisor and I was informed I could not gain access to those bills except I get a solicitor. In my desperation, I have discovered this forum. Is there any help I can get please? And if I have to get a solicitor to write , how do I go about that? Thanks. Solved
