Ive rebooted it many times but without change. Ive disconnected and reconnected the power and signal cables also without change. According to advice this may mean that it’s overheating. I reported this to virgin support. They checked the speeds and other stuff at the virgin end - no fault found and no further action proposed. So what now? I dont feel I should ignore it. A red light which should be white is never good news. I see from other posts on this forum that the hub has been replaced. Is that the best next step? Solved
