Much faster speeds than virgin media. Chose the 3gbps package.Fastest speeds in London Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router @mbozaritchie I know the broadband provider you are talking about them as I’m with them currently after leaving Virgin media and they are much better. I’m on the 3gbps package with them Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router I’ve had issues with Hub 5 that my internet drops out completely then comes back on then goes off again. Engineers have investigated and found that there are currently issues with Hub 5s and there are not going to supply them to the engineer themselves until issues are resolved. I’ve gone back to Hub 4 and connection is reliable. Looking forward to go back on Hub 5 once it’s out probably around February or end of this month when supply starts again. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router It’s likely your Hub is faulty seeming as if it isn’t connecting to your devices. Yeah power levels can be a factor. @andrewmm Engineers are carrying new hubs with them. Refurbished will be quite less because the hub recently came out with quite large stock. But yeah there can be possibilities as my hub 5 was changed quite a number of times as it wasn’t working properly and they gave the hub which was inside a wrapper. But recently got a new one sent completely boxed Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router @dmason197 which pods do you have, if it’s the one that has one Ethernet port at the bottom of the pod. Then you have the ones which were the old one. That was with Hub 3, Hub 4. If it has TWO Ethernet ports you already are on the latest wifi pods Virgin offer as of the moment Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router My hub 5 got replaced today again unfortunately but my hub speeds better then previously. 850 on Wi-Fi but can go up to 920mbps. Ethernet 1140-1200mbps sometimes even more so I’m a happy chap Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router @snozski. The engineer told you a lie as well they are giving out hub 4 replacement not 5. They are trying to remove all the hub 4 stocks on priority first then once fully done they will start hub 5s if there were 60 per week then most engineers would carry them. Currently only half or maybe less carry them. I mean an engineer installed my hub 5 as well but majority said they didn’t have any and they only send through post which was another lie Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router VM prefer Samknows, because Speedtests on Ookla depend on the server you choose, the more nearer the servers are to your location the more high speeds you will get. SAMKNOWS just gives an accurate estimate without changing servers but normally both are around the same not much of a difference. If I were you personally mainly use Ookla. But up to you in the end. If you Have HUB 4 or HUB 5 SAMKNOWS is compatible and you can check through devices. Oh yeah forgot to mention certain devices are capable of getting certain speeds for example old windows 7,8 computers will get a max of 100. Device limitations. That can also be a reason. But yeah for your satisfaction use both and check to see a difference. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router @marekthomasx1 I respect what your saying but just because he is a representative of VM for roll out does not mean he has the right to say such things to customers. He could’ve said in polite way I don’t understand why you’re supporting him. I’m sorry but if you think what he did was correct according to you then you are mistaken.we understand the hub 5 is taking time but the way your colleague stated in regards to deaf ears is completely out of order. This a community where no one should say such stuff which makes others even more frustrated try and understand this .@TeddyTRK I 100% agree with what you’re saying. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Don’t worry @TeddyTRK and other community members. Kei_M will be dealt with after I have escalated his comment to the relevant department. So just ignore what he said about deaf ears. He will now get what he deserves. I’ve reported what he said and action should be taken against him hopefully
