I've called twice and been told incorrect information on both counts. If the customer service advisors on the phone can't get their information correct, even by doing a Google search!!! I'm taking my business to cityfibre and Vodafone, as I'm totally fed up of the lack of any person that can give me ANY tangible response as to why we've all waiting so long for the service the virgin promised us many years ago!! Bye bye and good luck!! Re: Virgin Media O2 is boosting upload speeds Does anyone have any information as to why, yet again, customers have been told one thing and received another? I've also been saying for many years (since 2007 in fact) that virgins upload speed doesn't correlate to a 1/10 ratio, even though this was meant to be the case with vivid200 and vivid500. With the V3 boxes now using the network port to stream content, my download is fine (1gig customer finally), but now I face a dilemma. Do I continue after my minimum term (september) in the hope my upload will eventually be updated, or do I go to Vodafone via cityfibre as they offer a 900meg synchronous connection, at only £49 per.l minth, this is a no brainer. Virgin seems to be getting worse for service too. I've called 8 times since Sept 2022, and all times I've been given false information. Something needs to change, otherwise I'm jumping ship to Vodafone. Re: Virgin Media O2 is boosting upload speeds I got the email on 7th June to say my upload speed had been boosted, and to use the VM connect app or power cycle the router. Done this 5 times since, no update. Vm giving us false hope!! well, there's a surprise!!!!! (spot my iorony! lol)
