The next day I got one, to be fair it was an unbelievable price if I heard him right, but I’m in it for the best connection I can get, even if it costs me more. He seemed a bit taken a back when I said no. I decided to take better latency, same download and double upload + game pass ultimate for a year all for a discount. Still don’t get the >1gig speeds I was after here but I feel better not being taken for a second class customer. Hopefully in a year or so they’ll expand their 1.2 and 1.8g trial services or City Fibre eventually makes it here. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router The guy on whatsapp tried to tell me 3 times but Virgin is faster 1100mb! lol. It can be 10gig for all that matters if you can’t get it to your devices. Openreach locked in for 3 weeks today. I hope you all get your hubs in the future. Signing out. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router How do you pay £75 for 500mb? Surely you have some phone or TV addons or something? Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router So you are coming here to tell us what are you, whilst sitting on your own hub 5 and being able to utilise that additional download speed that we all want to with out 2,5gb / 10gb networks. lol. Dude you have literally zero credibility. How is, I’ve been a VM customer for years unbroken. How about I pay £62 a month for the last 18 months for my 1g which is more than any new customer. How about I have a mixed 2.5gb/10gb network in my home and want to utilise the hub for what it provides over the 4 when they are distributed to people who likely don’t even know what any of that means, maybe doesn’t even know what a 4 or 5 hub is, for less. I’m not wasting more time with you. Thanks for contributing your opinion on the matter, I respectfully disagree with it entirely. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Do you actually speak for VM? We’ve been here for over a year discussing this. Before they decided that actually, they were going to give them to new users of 1g and to hell with the existing (presumably because they already have that contract signed so nothing for them to gain). Literally everything you just posted is short sighted and so far off understanding the situation and feeling of existing subscribers throughout this thread it’s frankly laughable. They absolutely have chosen who is going to get one and existing users came second again. I appreciate VM has its fan boys but to come waffling that tripe isn’t helpful at all. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Its hardly before extended field testing. This thread you are replying in is basically 14 months old and references the first one from 2 months prior. How long do you think testing should take. 7th Feb I can give my final months notice on my 18 month contract and going with Openreach FTTP with some actual upload speed, 21st century latency and a hefty subscription discount of 30%. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Just another reason to get rid of this service. First we got the puma craziness, now even after dishing out the hubs for almost 1.5 years they still got issues. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Im literally less than 3 months away from my 18 month contract finishing now 🙂 can’t wait. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Not forgotten. Just not as important. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Everyone needs to stop winding themselves up and just accept they don’t care about you whatsoever. They already have you on their top package extracting their highest pricing from you. There is nothing left for them to gain from you. 5 months and counting.
