If your in modem mode , then most settings are not relevant to your setup , and you have to take any se update VM feel they want to send to you . Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Thank for that. As for push updates , Yep but that's not the user config that's updated it's the firmware , which the user has no control over , as we rent the gear off virgin. What actual parameter are you wanting to know and control for config ? Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Re Virgins incompetence and the aparantbgeneral bad state of their inferstructure, I can agree with. As for configuration, you can always save your configuration locally if that's what you mean, If its the network side, then that's totzly outside user control , so can't see that info being given out. For my interest, what do you use as a firewall when in modem mode , I've not found one that did not slow the line rate down Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router for my own interest @mutineer , as a custimer, user, what would ine do with such a list, Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router What would you expect ? At best , they will offer to send you an "engineer" forcing you to take day off work, who will in my experience "do nothing much" ,likely to find its "your gears fault" and charge you 25 quid for the privilege. Good luck Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router In modem mode, what do you use as you your firewall? Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router I must have sucker on head Last time about 10 years ago , i tried Got a new contract , better rate Then after 6 months , the special rate stopped and I was on more than before . Could have sworn i was not told it was a special for 6 months ! But ,bmy word against them and the large amount of small print. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router @thebatfink Its even worse than I thought seems Im on 350 Mb , internet and phone, Time to get involved in this ,not just pay bill. Once this years price rises are out, I wont be on this !! Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Hay @thebatfink I pay 75 for 500 . But having read all these i don't think for much longer. Just waiting for the yearly price rises to come out on other companies.
