After having my landline switched over to fibre a few weeks ago, the cables outside my house are now exposed as the triangular cover no longer appears to fit.  One of the cables now seems to be raised so the cover will not go on.  This is a trip haza...

I have an engineer appointment soon to do the switchover to fibre.  Can anyone please tell me how long this will take and will I be without broadband while the engineer is here working?  I rely on broadband as I work at home.  Many thanks.
