I am so fed up with Virgin at the moment! I keep getting issues with the sound going off and lots of coloured boxes appearing on the screen. This doesn’t happen when I watch recorded films. That’s when the TV is actually working! This has been going on for months now. I tried to check the service status and ironically it keeps saying Oops something went wrong. I tried to call them and they cut the phone off after 59 mins waiting. I am keeping screenshots of all of this now! Virgin are going downhill fast. Awful customer service even when you do get through! Which I haven’t managed for the past 2 weeks! The worse Company by far I have ever dealt with!!
Also worth checking by calling 0800 5610061 that there's no reported faults in your immediate area that could be causing this. If that's clear, and with the answers to Mike's questions in-hand (On Demand TV and live TV are fed to your box differently), we can probably advise further.
