@Hollybobs1

Same as the one I used, funnily enough I didn't get a ticket number 🤔

Did they say they'd had a previous call report?

Re: Sound dropouts on the BBC1 HD Channel

No, but I made reference to others with same issue. Let’s hope something gets done esp if VM are on board too. Depends how many contact them with the issue tho I guess and how much it costs them? Already a call out, an hour of an engineers time and new equipment for me so far. I think I may as well cancel the second engineer visist for today after seeing others have the same signal issue. Fingers crossed for progress.

Re: Sound dropouts on the BBC1 HD Channel

Yes, let's keep in touch with this, I checked 101 earlier and it seems to be getting worse.

So it looks like it doesn't matter whether the viewer is with BT or Virgin, they'll experience the same issue, one thing I'm not 100% sure of is whether this is affecting one particular area or not, going by the reports so far it's looking like central Scotland only unless someone from outside that area says otherwise?

Re: Sound dropouts on the BBC1 HD Channel

I have just spoken to the VM engineer and he was grateful for the heads up and will escalate it to his manager. I am sure he will be persuasive enough to get him to contact the BBC too.

Definitely sounds as if it is Scotland at the minute.

I have had this issue for months, maybe since the new BBC Scotland channel was launched but I am sure I was moaning about sound since we had this new tv last December 😳

Finally doing something about it. It’s amazing how two looming masters module deadlines help with the life admin-procrastination at it’s best 😂

Re: Sound dropouts on the BBC1 HD Channel

Hi guys,

Thanks for raising this issue on the thread. We're sorry to hear there are a few people having this issue and we'd love to get this raised and subsequently sorted for you.

We're going to collect the incidents here, pass it on to our faults team to see if we can then liaise with BBC or do what we need to on our end to try and resolve the issue.

Keep an eye out on this thread for any updates to the situation and keep your examples coming in!

Many thanks,
