V6 box - no signal

Hi, I have just turned my v6 box on and it just says No Signal - check HDMI cable

I have rebooted it, it shows the welcome screen and the starting up screen, then back to the black screen and no signal detected.

I have changed HDMI sockets and still nothing.

Anybody any ideas?

Hmm, weird. Pressed the power button on the remote over and over again, wouldn't go. Into standby, then suddenly started working.

Could the box be failing? Will Virgin send me a replacement if it is failing but not actually fully broken yet?

That sounds like an error generated by your TV caused by either no input or the wrong input being selected.

I'd try another HDMI cable and/or slot to eliminate first.

Hi Sasha, I have had the box about 2 years, always been noisy. It is currently working again after hammering the power button on the remote.

Just strange how a full power off and back on didn't fix it.
