TiVo doesn't display after putting on standby following watching of an app

Unsure if this is an isolated issue or not, but after watching a TV series from the Amazon prime app on the TiVo box and then putting the box into standby after, if you then try to get the TiVo to come back off standby nothing displays on the TV (no signal from source) until you power cycle the TiVo box

Has happened multiple times. Anyone else had this or is it a known fault as can't seem to see any other articles on the same

This is the V6 forum so assuming you mean V6 and not Tivo.....
Does this happen for other Apps or just AP?
Do you mean an app on the TV or V6 or on channel 205?
How is the V6 connected to the Hub - wifi or ethernet cable?

Hi it's not a "known" fault when you finish with Amazon you hit stop then keep pressing back as instructed on screen until exit comes up then hey Presto you exit.Regards Micky

Sorry yes, i meant the V6 box

I only really use the Amazon prime video app on the V6 box (under the menu > apps & games > my favourite apps > prime video)

It's not a TV app, it's one directly off the V6 box

I've tried with the ITV app but haven't noticed that one misbehaving like the Amazon prime video one does. 

Just tried again this moment to watch "leverage" from the Amazon prime video app, watched a few seconds, put the TV and then the V6 box into standby. Waited a few secs then resumed the TV and V6 off standby and the same issue again (no source from the V6 box unless power cycled)

The V6 box is connected to the hub via ethernet by the installer. Just double checked and can confirm that's the case

Sorry where does it say to hit stop and back back back??

Also strange that prime video faults but it works no issues

Just checked with the iPlayer app too on the V6 box and that doesn't have the same fault

Definitely looks to be related to Amazon Prime Video

What happens if you come out of the Amazon Prime app before turning the V6 off?

If you exit the prime video app by pressing the back key all the way out or by pressing Home, you can then put the V6 box & TV into standby and they resume with no issues

Something is definitely wrong with the way in which the Prime video app works compared to ITV/iPlayer which don't have this issue

How do you report this up to Virgin Media to investigate & fix?

Personally I just press 'TV' on the remote to exit the app and have had no problems.

You can wait on here for someone from VM to respond and they should report the issue.

However it's unlikely to be fixed any time soon so I would just ensure that I exit the app first before putting the the V6 in standby, one extra button push, and the problem is solved.

Hi if you look on your V6 remote first after you have finished with the app, press stop square symbol bottom of centre circle, then the round button top left with back written on it, you will eventually get a box on screen that reads exit the app, that way when you next come to use it will not keep finding the Amazon app.Regards Micky
