TV6 box difficult to power on

When initial switch one from red off position it takes multiple hits on home button before coming on. Not remote battery issue, replaced batteries. Virgin make it impossible to contact them with this issue, have wasted hours trying to call, and use online contact, but nothing has worked. This probably needs a new replacement box. 



If the box is in deep standby it can take 5-10 seconds to appear to respond to the remote.

Try one press and wait 10 seconds to see if that is the issue/

Sorry to hear about the difficulties getting your V6 to turn on, and getting support to sort this over the phone. There's a couple of different options that may be the root cause of this. It may be a case that there is an issue with  the remote, the settings within the box, or the V6 itself. 

To help us identify which of these it may be would you be able to check if you have power saving mode turned on at the moment? You can do this via your settings in Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Power saving.

If you can also please check that the remote is paired correctly with the box. There's some instructions on how to do this in the help page on how to use your virgin TV remote here. 

Does the On/Off button on the remote feel like it is sticking at all? Or having difficulties pressing down? It may be that there is an issue with this button on the remote, or the whole remote. Have you ever requested a replacement? (We can also help with this if needed!)
