TIVO Replacement

Hi, I have a similar query I am asking on behalf of my daughter & son-in-law who are also VM customers (I have suggested to my son-in law that he registers on here in case you need to exchange any private messages with them).

They currently have one V6 box and one TIVO and would like to replace the TIVO with a  2nd V6 (not a 360). The question is is this still possible?  as when they phoned (overseas call centre) they were told they could only swap for a 360 and could not have a V6. He kept trying to push the 360 upgrade which they declined and told him to leave things as they are for now.

Yes, TiVo's can be replaced with V6. Faulty ones are as a matter of course. There's also a proactive current programme to swapout TiVo due to the Netflix app being removed.

Any account which has a combination of TiVo & V6, should be offered V6 to replace TiVo's.

I passed on all the information to my son-in-law but after a couple of attempts to contact VM, each time being told he could not swap his tivo for a V6 only for a 360 he tried to register on here to question the matter further. However each time he tries to register with the community the promised email verification email doesn't arrive (he has checked spam folder)

Out of interest, are these offshore CS agents? Or chat-based sessions? If the latter, do you have screenshots?

The advice is wrong (though sadly unsurprising) in any case, but I'm idly curious where it's coming from.

I have spoken to my son-in-aw and he says the contacts were by telephone, not live chat.

He is still unable to complete registration with this community to question the matter first hand as whenever he tries the verification email never arrives.

Hi, yes I would like to try and sort this out for my son in law. He would do it himself if he could but, as mentioned, he can't get access to this site because the verification email never arrives. I am happy to answer any security questions.

Thanks countyexile,

I've popped you a private message to get a few more details from you.
