Hi, for over a week, we've been getting a security error message on our TV when trying to access apps like iPlayer, ITVx, YouTube, etc. I've seen multiple people on here having the same issue earlier in the year but no obvious answer as to how it can be resolved.
It says:
This server could not prove that it is content.dtv.virginmedia.com; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.
Then 'Back to safety' or 'Proceed anyway.
This is really frustrating, especially with the wait times on calls with Virgin Media (nobody has time for that!) and the fact there is no other easy way to contact Virgin Media for help. Please can somebody help pronto??? Thanks!

Can you post a picture of this error?
Also does it happen when using non-app-based OnDemand? Anything from Channel 5 or Sky is good for this.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media. Learn more

Hi caveman1,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear you're getting this error. This is something that was raised and it was resolved earlier in the year. We've not seen anything new relating to this. Can you let us know when this started appearing on your box?
Do you have multiple boxes at the house? If so, is this the same on them all?
If you haven't already done so, please turn the box off at the mains and leave off for a few minutes. Once booted back up, are you getting the same error message?
Keep us posted so we can help further.
Many thanks,
