Programming V6 Remote for Cambridge Audio Amp

Just completed a self install of Virgin TV - (very impressed and it all worked)i have had the Broadband and phone for a while but I had the opportunity to add tv at a very good price (50p)

My plan is to run this along side my current sky and if i am happy with the virgin service i will dump Sky.

The only issue i have it i can't  find the code to allow my to programme my V6 remote to allow me to adjust the volume on my Cambridge 351A amplifier (something i could do with the sky remote) it seems the code isn't on the list.

Does anyone know if there is a similar manufacturer that i could use or indeed does anyone have the code for this amplifier

Re: Programming V6 Remote for Cambridge Audio Amp

I don't know if the Cambridge app is the V6 list - but I've found here the the remote seems to want to be programmed to a tv before you then program it to the amp.

VIVID 500 (500/35mb) in Area 31

Re: Programming V6 Remote for Cambridge Audio Amp

I have a cambridge asur 340a amp.

I did this after setting up the remote to control TV. Not sure if it matters.

I used code 1247 and it worked but not in the way as described usually.

1) Press TV button

2)Point remote away from reciever

3)Clear + Vol UP

4) Enter 1247

5)Press TV again

This should make volume up and down and mute work. Holding mute should put it in standby.

Whilst where here, holding TV opens source and i can search.
