Pixilation, worse on recordings.

Hi all,

Have been getting quite a lot of pixilation from my v6 box lately, on some channels such as channel 4, sections of the screen, quite often the bottom half, will pixilate every few seconds. This is more pronounced when playing back recordings. It is happening on both my v6 boxes.

I have reset both boxes but that hasn't solved the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Paul

Re: Pixilation, worse on recordings.

I have the same on 4 HD. I had this issue a year ago and so did many others but after a few months it went. I hope Virgin get it sorted faster this time

Re: Pixilation, worse on recordings.

My Sky witness recordings are so pixilated as to be almost unwatchable, not happy

Re: Pixilation, worse on recordings.

Good Afternoon Jackie158,

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums and a very warm welcome to you!

Sorry to see you're experiencing pixilation on you recordings on Sky Witness, do you have the same problem when you're watching this or any other TV channel live?

Can you also tell me if you experience this via any other recordings from alternative channels?

If you could also advise me if this is still ongoing and when this started that would also be handy to know.

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: Pixilation, worse on recordings.

Well I had a man from virgin round yesterday to fix my phone(long story) and I asked him about the pixellation and showed him one of the recordings.  He changed some of the fittings on the wall socket, he said they should have been changed years ago, I think they reduced the signal or something.  I have just checked a recording from last night on the really bad channel and it seems really good, so fingers crossed 🤞
