I was wondering if Is the Virgin BBC IPlayer App is broadcasting the 2022 World Cup In UHD as there is usually something on the screen saying this

Hi @JohnWB56
Click the red button on BBC1 then when the screen loads, scroll down and click on Watch more in iPlayer.
On the main iPlayer screen the first option I see at the top of the screen is Belgium v Morocco - it has the UHD symbol in the top left, click on Watch Live
Another screen will appear - top option Watch live in UHD

Thanks for the answer.
I tried it but when the first option screen comes up it does not have the UHD symbol in the LH corner

Hi again @JohnWB56
Is your TV on the list of /uhd-supported-devices ?
Have you set up UHD on the iPlayer app?
On the VM set top box when you go into iPlayer Settings select Try new features in iPlayer Beta, then click iPlayer BETA on the next screen then scroll down to Back on the screen and click OK

It looks as though the BBC aren't showing any UHD symbol as at present I am definitely watching the football in UHD on my Samsung TV via the App on my 360 box and there is no UHD symbol in the Left Hand Corner.

but when I go into the settings there is no Try new features in iPlayer Beta anywhere unfortunatly

Hi again @JohnWB56
Can you confirm which VM set top box you have? Tivo or V6?
Are you using a high speed HDMI cable?
Have you tried it in a different port?

Thanks for the quick reply again.
The box is a V6
I am using a 48g hdmi cable
I am feeding through a Marantz 7015 receiver to the TV which has no problem with 4K from various inputs and i have tried a different port
All very strange
