Re: Dolby Atmos

I have given up, can't even get Netflix or Prime on my V6 box again. What a waste of time and money!!! Fortunately I can get them through my TV.

Re: Dolby Atmos

All V6 apps run from the network, so the box needs a connection to the hub. An Ethernet cable is best but homeplugs or WiFi sometimes work well.

Re: Dolby Atmos

I have it connected to WiFi and through the mains plugs, cannot get it to change from wifi to plugs, we do have good wifi where the V6 box is.

Re: Dolby Atmos

Buy an Ethernet cable for a few quid if only for testing purposes.

Re: Dolby Atmos

7.1 TrueHD is Dolby Atmos uncompressed. you need your TV to support HDMI eARC to the eARC connection on the Sonos Arc. this provides upto 37mbps throughput, whereas HDMI-ARC only supports 1mbps. HDMI-ARC will support Atmos, but only in compressed 5.1 format afaik.

make sure also you have an Ultra fast HDMI lead between the Arc and TV.

Re: Dolby Atmos

Live TV and and streaming services such as Netflix use DD+ to convey Dolby Atmos (so HDMI eARC is not an issue here).

What TV do you have?
