Cabling to second V6 box

I am currently converting my attic which when finished I will be putting a V6 box in, what cabling if any do I need to install as this would be easier to install during construction.

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

VM will only use cable they install. you are better putting in cable trunking and a pull cord

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

I’m afraid you need to call virgin at a price of £99 for an engineer to move any equipment and adjust power levels

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

You are also likely to have problems with UHD if you are going to use a long HDMI lead to go all the way back to the tv.

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

It needs to be an active hdmi cable, iv recently paid vm to move my v6 and hub in a small walk in cupboard under the stairs = No problem in watching 4K with a 15m cable.

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

It would be a new install as I don’t have VM atm.

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

You'll want an Ethernet cable from the hub to the attic as well.

Re: Cabling to second V6 box

I'd be extra cautious and use cat 6e. The cost is not much more and has extra shielding. Look on amazon or eBay. DO NOT look in PC World as they are major rip-of merchants
