A VM Staff person will pick this thread up in due course and sort you out.  They do it chronologically starting with the oldest first.  Every time you (or me!) reply to this thread it moves it back to the bottom of the list.

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

You are on a public forum so other virgin customers like you in some cases are trying to help and have given the correct answer it's not thier fault it's not what you want to hear

Re: Coax splitter

Same answer as your other post, multiple posts confuse and delay a virgin response

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

Hi stevegg,

Thanks for getting in touch.

I am afraid that once the installation is complete, a relocation of the equipment would be chargeable at £99.00.

We do not supply splitters for the equipment but if you were to require one, they are available via third parties.

Thanks,

Nat

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

Coax splutters are around the £5 mark, but the cable virgin use is not standard coax it is low loss cable typically WF100 cable that works outs about 50p per meter and connectors £1 to £2 each.

Add on the cable clips, properly terminating the cables, your time to run the cable, it is a lot easier to shell out the £100 to get a Virgin engineer to do the work.

You might save £40 or so doing the job yourself, but it just not worth it.

You can't learn anything from a mistake until you admit that you've made it.

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

I don't see why VM can't provide a Quickstart pack which contains amongst other things a splitter and a couple of lengths of connector cable.

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

Probably because the majority of people dont know what they are doing and will just mess up the connection adding bits of splitters and cable

Re: COAX splitter - advice needed please

Hi quite this thread all started because the OP changed his mind and has been told by several people including a moderater, the correct solution but has not liked it so has thrown his toys out of the pram.
