The channels that the set top box freezes on, are they LIVE TV channels or are they ondemand/catch up, recordings or programmes on apps at all?
Is your set top box in a well ventilated area? I would highly recommend switching your set top box off or at least into standby mode when you are not using it at night. Our set top box will need to do software updates and as such will run more smoothly when you have rebooted on a regular basis.
