Pairing Remote with Sky Soundbox 360 & Toshiba TV

Hello,

I have just switched to Virgin, having an issue with pairing my remote.

I cannot get my remote to pair with my Sky Soundbox (SB100) or my Toshiba 2019 TV (55U5863DB).

Tried putting “SB10” in as per other forums but nothing happens. Also tried first 4 digits of TV model to try and at least get some audio control (even if I had to remove the soundbox)

I can see posts from 2021 where they got it working so unsure if new software versions on the 360 box has removed support?

any help would be very welcome as new to virgin TV.

Just to add my Sky Q remote used to be able pair with TV, to turn the power on and it would then control the volume on the soundbox.

So I’m surprised the virgin remote won’t at least pair with the TV

You could try removing the batteries first from the remote and then resetting it, if that doesn't work then try disconnecting the soundbar and factory resetting the remote and then try pairing the TV to the remote again.

Press and hold the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds to factory reset the remote.

Then pair the 360 remote again by holding down the 'TV' button and '0' button together for 10 seconds.

Then go to Settings to pair to the TV.

If that works reconnect the soundbar and try pairing that again.

Hi @RyanJN 

You can still use the Sky Soundbox (Devialet model SB:100)

On you 360 go to Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > Change audio set up > then select Devialet (or Sky) and click on Enter device model number, then type  in SB10 and press Go - this will then pair the 360 with the Sky soundbox.

Your TV should pair if you use either 5863 or 63DB as the code.

thanks for your reply, I’d seen your posts previously and have tried both Sky and Devialet as manufacturers and put in “SB10” but no response on the sound box (LED doesn’t flash and volume doesn’t change)

In regards to the TV codes do you mean go into the pair devices menu and put those codes as model numbers? If so I tried that but didn’t work. If not how do I put the TV code into the remote?

Also have you tried factory resetting the remote and then pairing it again?

Pressing and holding the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds will factory reset the TV 360 remote. You could also try removing the batteries and put them back in.

To pair the 360 remote hold down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash.
