When copper landline done away with?

I understand the broadband is used does this come through the co-ax or is a new fibre cable installed?

Hey @dnpark38,

Welcome back to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

When we switch the landline over to work of the fibre network the only thing we will provide you will be an adapter, this adapter will connect the phone line to the back of your Hub, the Hub will remain plugged in as normally it will now just have the landline connected directly into it. So it will be only fibre part way to me then and final stage still co-ax.

BT/Open reach at present do the same fibre to their cabinet then copper wires to homes. At present they have just run trunking and fibre cable to our street pole, ready for fibre all the way to homes.

I think they are doing this as City Fibre are in our district laying fibre cables.
