iOS14 update has caused incoming calls to revert to the number as opposed to the contact name in my phone.  It is not recognising the contact as the personalised ring tone does not play and the contact photo does not display. 
Once the call is complete, the call log shows the correct contact details. 

anyone else seen this? Is there a fix ? Sometimes after a software update there is a carrier update too but I haven’t seen one this time..

RESOLVED

I called 789 and they knew of existing caller-id type issues on iPhones. 

go to settings>phone>My Number and make sure your number IS NOT prefixed with +44 (if a UK number)

instead, make sure your number starts with the zero. 
This has worked for me. I hope it works for you.

You could use the following methods to fix it.

1. Firce restart your iPhone by pressing down the Power and Home (Volume) buttons until the Apple logo appears.

2. Using any iOS system repair tools such as TunesKit to resolve it.

3. Contact Apple center for help.
