Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

Erm it is.. On EE it's there by default along with IPv6 and other features. Even when I went up to 5G on a new contract I still have the option. I don't have a EE supplied phone I have a Oneplus 5T and it still gives me the options.

On a side note I did put in a VM sim and I also got the options on this phone. One which was on the Ultimate Bundle when I had it.

So it IS working.

Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

I don't think they've switched it on yet. When I tried 3 it worked, then I put the vm sim back & it didn't/doesn't work again

Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

On the iPhone on EE the setting is there automatically and available to use, it is Vodafone where you have to have it switched on on your account

Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

Good morning,

Sorry for all the confusion. WiFi Calling isn't available on our network just yet, we'll let you know when this changes.

Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

I notice it says you have to use the new SIM cards, this seems to indicate Virgin will be using their own IMS servers.

What is not mentioned is VoLTE which uses the same data transfer mechanism. Usually the two go hand in hand

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Re: When did VM start offering WiFi Calling?

Hi All,

Virgin have quickly realised they pushed the button too early maybe! (link broken now)  For the iPhones point though, looks like iOS 13.3.1 is to be released early this week and we may see a carrier update to get Wi-fi calling activated and as Enlli motioned this could potentially activate VoLTE!

Could be a good week being a Virgin Mobile customer?! (Maybe)
