Unable to access my Virgin Mobile account

I lost my phone which contained a pay monthly sim only in March, reported it to Virgin who de-activated card, no replacement card was forthcoming, Tried to log into my account but could not remember password (dementia sufferer) so tried to rest password, system tells me I am no longer on their system. Tried helpline but as cannot give password they can do nothing, tried going to branch all they did was call helpline and the pass phone to me, same result, meanwhile Virgin are still charging me for a service I no long have available to me. Have now had letter threating Debt collectors, Abody any Ideas?
