Switched previous phone number to VM but mobile data stopped working

Hi, I switched my previous mobile number to Virgin Media. Data service was working fine when I didn't switch my number. Now with my number switched to VM sim I am not able to use the mobile data. My mobile data is on, roaming data is on. Can anyone advise how to solve this problem. Many thanks in advance.

The easiest thing to try is text ALL to 789922

You should get configuration texts back (one for data and one for mms messaging. 

Hopefully that'll fix the data

I sent the message but didn't get a reply. But managed to find a post on how to update the APN here: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Virgin-Mobile/New-Purple-Virgin-Mobile-SIM-and-need-the-APN-set...
