Scam or Genuine

i received a text reading "VirginMedia: We are having issues verifying your billing details. Update these details immediately at upd-verify.com to avoid a block on your VirginMedia account"

just wondered if this is a genuine text from virgin media as i have recently changed bank cards and my bill was due today

Sounds like a scam, I wouldn't reply.

100% scam.  Lots of Virgin text scams at present.

Virgin would not contact you, if something went wrong with Direct Debit/payment, they would just cut your services.

The "upd-verify.com" URL is a good looking copy of the Virgin mobile login page, but have a play with it and you'll notice it's not right, only one link works - and that is the one you press to send your Virgin email and password login details to the scammer 😖
