I keep getting the new voicemail notification on my phone but I don't have any new voicemails. How can I stop this appearing?

Hi Ruth, Thanks for coming back to us again!

Have you tried leaving the phone a voicemail, and then deleting it to see if this clears the error?

Check your voicemail inbox is definitely empty by deleting all messages, including any saved ones, and to then perform a reboot (not a factory reset) of the handset.

Let us know how you get on with this!

All the best

Hi RuthT, welcome to the community! Sorry to hear about this issue with your voicemail notifications.

Would you be able to let us know what make and model phone you are using?

If you have any available software updates please ensure these are up to date, and reboot the handset.

Let us know if it is still happening following a reboot!

All the best.

Molly

Hi Molly

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. I've just had a new software update but that hasn't cleared it. When I reboot the notification goes away but comes back after an hour or so.

Thanks
Ruth

Hi Ruth, thanks for letting me know!

I know this can be irritating - it often happens on my iphone! Can you have a look through the instructions on this webpage for how to remove the notification: How to remove voicemail notifications from your Samsung phone - particularly the section about clearing your cache and data, and let us know if this does not fix the problem?

Hopefully this sorts it! Thank you.

All the best

Hi Molly

Thanks, but I've already done this but it doesn't get rid of the notification.

Thanks

Hi Molly

I've tried this a couple of times, and I think it's finally worked.
