Good morning.
when you used the EE network I received good reception and fast mobile internet.
Vodafone was worse and now O2 barely works at my home address.
I feel the only way forward is to change my provider as I appear to live in a O2 black spot.
Am I able to leave my contract early as I can barely use my phone at my home address.
thanks

Hi Lester61,
Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry you no longer have a great connection when at home, if you also have our WIFI you can try WIFI calling when at home, you would need to speak to our Customer Relations team on 789 and follow the options for thinking of leaving, they will do a full review and discus this further with you.
Regards
Paul.

Thanks Paul
I was hoping to avoid calling 789 (based on previous experience), which was why I joined this forum.
There is a mobile mast about 500m from my address - does anyone know how to check which networks it provides?
To be fair, I’ve never had a problem with VM prior to the recent network changes.

If you go to https://www.o2.co.uk/coveragechecker and click on the Masts button it will show you where your nearest map is located
You can also select the Status tab to see if there are problems in your area

There are some ways, but they're not intuitive methods. There are no published maps beyond the website coverage predictions that the networks offer up.

The O2 coverage for my address is described as good indoor and outdoor but it isn’t.
I only get one bar downstairs and two upstairs or outside and often it’s 3g rather than 4g. 5g is not available at my location.
All very frustrating after years of decent reception from other networks.

As advised by enlli, from checking there are numerous mast located close to you and at this time don't report any known issues. Do you get better signal elsewhere other than around your home? Does it improve outside at all?
Lots can impact the signal strength from the house to location to congestion in the area to even geographical factors such as hills and valleys.

Thanks Rob.
As stated previously, my location would appear to be a flat spot for Vodafone and O2, despite having two masts nearby.
Yes, reception is better at other locations but the data speed remains poor.
Congestion is the most likely factor as I live in the Greater London area, although that wouldn’t explain why my previous EE mobile data was superfast.
Maybe things will improve when O2 get around to supplying 5g in my location.

Hi @Lester61,
I do apologise for the signal strength issues you experience at home. If things seem better elsewhere then it does seem like it may be congestion in the area. Does it make a difference if you're indoors or outdoors in the affected area?
Thanks,
